Graph view

The graph view is a live map of your wiki — every page you can see is a dot, every connection a line. Use it to grasp the shape of a space, find hubs and orphans, and jump around by structure instead of by the tree.

Open it from the sidebar or with g r ([[Keyboard shortcuts]]), or from any page's ⋯ menu → Open in graph to land focused on that page.

Lenses

Toggle these from the top bar to change what the map shows:

Lens Shows
Links [[wikilinks]] / references between pages — connections people wrote
Hierarchy parent → child (the page tree)
Semantic meaning-based connections tela computes from content — see below
Trust recolours dots by health: red = disputed, amber = stale/needs review, muted = clean — see [[Trust & provenance]]
Recency fades older pages so recently-edited ones stand out
Orphans only pages with no connections at all — your loose ends
Stats a side panel: most-connected hubs, recently updated, disputed & stale pages, orphan & broken-link counts

There's also a Highlight box that spotlights pages whose title matches as you type, and a focus mode (opening the graph from a page) that narrows to that page's neighbourhood — press show all to zoom back out.

The Semantic lens

[!TIP] Links and Hierarchy show connections a person drew. Semantic shows connections tela discovers — pages whose content is about the same thing, from the same index behind [[Search & ask your docs]]. It overlays them as soft dashed threads on top of your authored links.

The payoff is in the overlap: a semantic thread with no solid link beneath it is two pages clearly related but never connected — a missing [[wikilink]], or two efforts running in parallel without knowing about each other. Turn the lens on to spot those gaps, then link them if it makes sense.

[!NOTE] The Semantic lens reads the semantic index, so it needs an embedder configured (provided on the managed cloud; self-hosters set TELA_RAG_EMBED_URL). Without one the toggle just shows nothing extra — the authored graph is unaffected. It's computed on demand from stored vectors, so it never calls a model.

On a single page

Every page also carries a small Connections graph (the Connections card below the content) — the same map scoped to that page's immediate neighbourhood, for the local picture without leaving the page.
